The "Back When They Bucked" event is part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) series. Taking place in Deadwood's storied Days of '76 Rodeo Grounds, this event gathers rodeo enthusiasts for a day packed with thrilling rodeo action. Co-hosted by the Western Legacy Foundation (WLF) and the Naja Shrine, this event aims to raise funds for the youth of Western South Dakota. Your experience starts with the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) Ladies Breakaway Roping event. Attendees will be treated to the fastest roping you’ve ever seen as the competitors aim for a place in the short round, held later during the PRCA Xtreme Bronc Riding event. The afternoon brings more excitement with the PRCA Xtreme Saddle Bronc Match, where 30 cowboys vie for top scores and ultimate glory.
